FACC-NY Welcomes a New Associate Director of International Career Development Programs
The FACC-NY is pleased to announce the hiring of Associate Director of International Career Development Programs (ICDP), Mary Beth Lambert. Mary Beth replaces Kristin Young, who will be pursuing new professional projects after serving at the Chamber for seven years. We wish Kristin the best in her pursuits and are grateful for the leadership and positive advancement she brought to the Exchange Visitor and American Outbound programs during her tenor.
Mary Beth joins FACC-NY from her most recent role as Program Analyst, Passport Services at the U.S. Department of State where she spent 11 years. Mary Beth is bilingual and has had the unique opportunity to interview Exchange Visitors during their visa appointments at the United States Embassy in Paris. Knowing exactly what candidates will experience prior to their arrival in the States for their programs is an incredible asset to best prepare them for a seamless processing. Mary Beth received her Master of French Studies from the University of Wisconsin and her B.A. in International/Global Studies and French from the Louisiana State University.
Mary Beth will be responsible for the management of five-person visa processing department, which handles the eligibility of Exchange Visitor Interns and Trainees placed across the United States. The FACC-NY receives referrals from the 18 other FACC chapters across the United States and is the sole Chapter to manage candidate applications, processing over 1200 per year. Additionally, the ICDP department maintains strong ties with the U.S. Department of State to ensure compliance in every aspect of our role as a sponsor and the most up to date knowledge of regulations as they evolve.
For our Exchange Visitor host companies and candidates, we wish to assure you that this change will have no impact on your cases in progress. We are excited for Mary Beth to bring her wealth of knowledge and experience to our team to continue to best serve our clients and advocate for the advancement of cultural exchange programs between France and the United States.
