On June 26th, over 150 Interns, Trainees and Young Executives gathered for a boat cruise on the Hudson River.
In collaboration with the German American Chamber of Commerce, BelCham and Mountbatten, this is the 6th annual event, always much anticipated and even drawing alumni to travel back to the city to meet & mingle with the new generation of Exchange Visitors.
For this edition, we were please to welcome special guest Jennifer Nupp- Policy Analyst with the United States Department of State and a passionate advocate for cross-cultural exchange. Ms. Nupp spoke to attendees before dinner was served, mentioning that 300,000 people partake in an exchange program each year in the United States. This cultural exchange program is a foreign policy and public diplomacy program which aims to train young leaders in U.S. business practices and inturn, have these leaders share American know-how and culture when they return to their countries of origin.
Also in attendance were Sandrine Plaud-Guérin- Program Officer, Higher Education, Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the United States. Marwan Ghrab- Representative in the NY Region, represented Business France.
